Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

Is the first unit permanently free?

Yes. It is a free plan, not a trial — there is no expiry date and no card required. One rentable unit stays free for as long as you use it, which covers a single-family home.

How much does a second unit cost?

$5 a month for your whole account, not $5 per unit. You see the price and confirm it before the second unit is created, so a duplex is $5 a month in total.

What happens when I need a third unit?

Start holds a maximum of two units. A third requires Grow, at $10 a month or $100 a year, and anything you had already entered is carried through the upgrade.

Does Grow really include unlimited units?

Yes. Grow is one flat price for the account. A ten-unit building and a hundred-unit portfolio cost the same, and tenants never change it.

Are tenants free?

Always. Tenants and vendors never pay a Rental Tracker subscription fee, and tenant count never affects your price — only rentable units do.

Are payment-processing fees included?

No. Subscription prices cover the software. Payment processing, tenant screening, and optional third-party services are separate, and any applicable fee — and who pays it — is shown before the transaction is authorized.

Does the annual plan charge $100 at once?

Yes. Annual Grow is a single $100 charge covering twelve months, which works out at $8.33 a month — two months cheaper than paying monthly.

Can I downgrade from Grow to Start?

Yes, as long as you hold two rentable units or fewer, since that is Start’s maximum. The change takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep Grow until then.

What happens to my documents after downgrading?

They stay. Downgrading never deletes documents, messages, maintenance history, or accounting records — Grow-only features simply stop being available until you upgrade again.

Can pricing change in the future?

It can. If it does we will tell you before it affects your account, and the price shown at checkout is always the price charged.
